Census Bureau: 77.8% of people in Delaware County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 573,883 citizens living in Delaware County in 2021, 77.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 446,478 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 212,451 were male, constituting 47.6%, and 234,027 were female, making up 52.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Delaware County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79.1%.
